Trusting God’s Purpose Amidst Adversity
Morning: Genesis 36-37
Evening: Matthew 12:1-21
Genesis 37 recounts Joseph’s journey from being his father’s favored son to being sold into slavery by his brothers. In Matthew 12, we see Jesus addressing the Pharisees’ legalism, emphasizing mercy and God’s heart for restoration. When life feels uncertain or unfair, we can trust that God is writing a greater story. The challenges we face can be part of a divine process preparing us for His purposes.

A Prayer for Today:
Heavenly Father, thank You for reminding me through Joseph’s story and Jesus’s example that You are always in control, even when life feels chaotic or unjust. Help me to trust Your greater purpose for my life, especially in difficult times. Teach me to value mercy and compassion, just as Jesus did, and to be faithful in every season.
