Trusting God’s Timing and Sovereignty

Morning: 2 Kings 6-8
Evening: John 4:1-30

In the morning reading, we witness God’s mighty hand at work through Elisha, performing miracles that reveal His control over every situation—whether protecting the city from enemies or providing sustenance in famine. These chapters remind us that God’s timing and sovereignty are perfect, even when circumstances seem uncertain or dire.

In the evening passage, Jesus meets the Samaritan woman at the well, breaking cultural barriers and offering living water—eternal life through the Spirit. She moves from doubt and brokenness to faith, showing how encountering Jesus transforms hearts and leads to true worship.

Both passages encourage us to trust God’s plan and timing, knowing He works all things for good, and to embrace the living water Jesus offers that satisfies our deepest thirst.
